United States of Tara?

I've joined Netflix and found the Showtime series United States of Tara available for viewing. I have rented the first two discs. I'm interested in getting other people's opinions about this series. It didn't live up to my expectations for it.

Anyone care to weigh in?

I like it. The interview with Richard Kluft - don't know if it's included in Netflix - makes clear she is not typical. She's more florid in her manifestation. Anyway, I was actually terrified that the show would hold us up to ridicule and misunderstanding, so my expectations were low. I was pleasantly surprised. Wish I subscribed to Showtime. Guess I'll have to wait for the DVD or download podcasts to see more of season 2.

I did find myself wondering how she met her husband, and how they lasted over 17 yrs in their marriage. And what kind of meds she was taking to control her switching, seems to me must have been some powerful meds...

Also do like to analyze what is going on with her, how her system works, and how there is no way she could have split originally as a teen. It will be interesting to see where the story goes and how they tell it. Seems to me the key to it all is in the alter Gimme.
